Nepal Postal & Ward Codes is an independent informational directory for Nepal postal codes and ward-level postal codes. It is built to help people quickly find the correct code for a district, local level, or ward when they need it for addressing and forms.

You can use this site to look up Nepal postal-code information in a clear structure, organized by Nepal’s administrative areas so it is easier to navigate and understand.

Why We Created This Website

Postal-code information is often available, but not always easy to find in one place, in a format that is simple to search and use. People may have to check multiple sources, compare entries, or dig through long lists to confirm a code for the area they need.

This directory brings relevant public information together in a single, organized reference. The goal is practical: help visitors find Nepal postal codes and ward codes faster, with less confusion, and with clearer context around the district, province, and local level involved.

What You Can Find Here

Nepal Postal & Ward Codes focuses on postal and ward-code lookups. In the directory, you will find:

  • Five-digit postal codes associated with local levels or postal office entries in Nepal’s current postal-code system
  • Ward-level postal codes (ward codes) connected to those postal codes where applicable
  • Province, district, and local-level pages that help you browse by area rather than scanning one long list
  • Ward numbers used to form ward codes, where those ward codes are shown

The site is designed for common, everyday uses such as filling out online forms, writing addresses, sending correspondence or parcels, double-checking address information, and understanding how Nepal’s postal and ward codes are structured.

Nepal’s Postal and Ward Code Structure

The directory covers two related code formats: postal codes and ward codes.

A postal code is a five-digit code used for a relevant local level or postal office entry in Nepal’s postal-code system. A postal code helps identify the correct area for routing and sorting. It is not a street-by-street or house-by-house identifier.

A ward code is a ward-level postal code formed by extending the five-digit postal code with the ward number. The structure is:

Five-digit postal code + two-digit ward number = seven-digit ward code

For example:

  • Postal code: 41106
  • Ward 1 code: 4110601

When the ward number is a single digit, the ward portion uses a leading zero. For instance, Ward 1 is written as `01`.

Coverage Across Nepal

The directory is organized to reflect Nepal’s administrative structure and make browsing easier. Coverage includes:

  • 7 provinces
  • 77 districts
  • 753 local levels
  • Ward-level codes associated with those local levels, where ward codes are provided

The “753 local levels” figure refers to Nepal’s local-level administrative units and the postal codes associated with them. It does not mean 753 post offices. Local levels, wards, post offices, postal codes, and ward-level postal codes are related in practice, but they are not the same thing. This site separates them clearly so you can navigate by area and understand what each code represents.

How We Approach Accuracy

Accuracy matters for a postal code directory. A single wrong digit can cause delays, failed form submissions, or misrouted mail. At the same time, postal-code information can change over time as reference lists are updated.

Nepal Postal & Ward Codes aims to keep information accurate, consistent, and useful by relying on reliable publicly available sources, including government-published postal information where appropriate, and updating entries when dependable reference information changes. If you notice something that looks outdated or inconsistent, we encourage you to share the details so it can be reviewed and corrected.

An Independent Information Resource

Nepal Postal & Ward Codes is an independent informational website. It is not Nepal Post, and it is not a Government of Nepal website. The directory is meant to help people find and use Nepal postal and ward codes more easily, but it does not provide postal delivery or other government postal services.
